Situated at the crossroads of the Vienne, Tourraine and Anjou regions, this château embodies the charm and majesty of French architecture. After its purchase in 2010, the château became an exhibition space. Dating from the 15th and 18th centuries, it's not lacking in charm. The complex was located on an ancient Roman road. It's safe to assume that passers-by had to pay a tax to pass through neighboring territory. Around 1860, the old feudal fortress was replaced by a modern building. The old building was attacked by both Catholics and Protestants during the Wars of Religion. The château is flanked by large, round towers topped with corbels and conical roofs. The fortified entrance gate (15th century), with its semi-circular arch, is topped by a small corbelled building flanked by round towers.
